KEY INGREDIENTS
Oleogel R contains vegetable oils and barrier substances as well as azelaic acid, betulinic acid, urea, frankincense extract, zinc PCA and evening primrose oil in an anhydrous base. The preparation is quickly absorbed into the skin due to the content of natural phosphatidylcholine.
 
PROPERTIES
In cases of disturbed barrier function of the skin, such as rosacea or perioral dermatitis, there is a great need for high doses of lipid substances. However, the use of high-fat skin preparations is usually contraindicated - especially if anaerobic germs are involved in the problem skin. Oleogel R has a maximum fat content without this disadvantage. Essential gamma-linolenic acid, azelaic acid, boswellic acids and betulinic acid are used for supportive prevention of inflammatory skin reactions. Urea has an anti-pruritic effect. Zinc compounds have a complementary antimicrobial effect.
 
USAGE
Very small quantities are sufficient for application, because Oleogel R is extremely productive in supplying damaged skin with lipid substances. Oleogel R is applied to the skin as needed and spread well. Oleogel R can also be used for massaging, if necessary with the addition of fatty oils such as avocado oil.
